I've been debating whether or not to continue including links to videos of performances of the songs I post. My original intention was -- and still is -- to emphasize the lyrics, not the music. I don't know about you, but for me the music can sometimes overshadow the words. Especially if it's particularly well-written or well-performed. However, finding a good performance on YouTube is a lot of fun for me, and I often learn more about the song that way -- if, for instance, the lyrics are set to a different tune than I'm used to. So I reckon I'll keep on posting links to videos, at least here on the blog. I'm not sure if it would be appropriate or acceptable to do that on Instagram, so I won't do it there.
